These instances have been relegated back here due to one issue or another. Typically either due to a lack of instant registration or red-flags regarding the actual experience itself. But they still serve some subcommunity or another, so I figured they were worth mentioning in some capacity.
For those who want as simple of an experience as possible, stick to our main page. If you trust your own judgement, then proceed with caution.
Closed: These instances are good, they just don't allow you to just sign up automatically. You may have to meet certain qualifications or ask a member for an invite.

Inactive: These instances are either too small or not active enough to fully recommend. You can sign up, and the communities themselves are fine, but you'll miss out on local engagement and there's less assurance of reliability.
